Yigal Erel

Yigal Erel is involved in research projects which are carried out in collaboration with researchers from the Hebrew University, The Geological Survey of the Israel, Universityof California San Diego, and University of Wisconsin, USA. These projects include:
1. Characterizations and source apportions of local and foreign atmospheric aerosols in Israel under different synoptic conditions
2. The behavior and bio-availability assessment of toxic metals in aerosols
3. Records of atmospheric dust as tracers of paleo-climate
4. Tracing Ag used in cloud seeding operations
5. Developments of methods to remove toxic metals from industrial waste water
6. The dark side of ancient metallurgy: Measuring toxic metals in human populations to trace the impact of early industries through time
